Creativity

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I have noticed a sad thing in my life time as I reflect on 2 events in the last 24 hours.
I was channel surfing last night and came across Queen live at Wembley. Now they aren’t my bag spiritually but how incredible that a band of only 4 people without electronic enhancement could produce such amazing music and keep a crowd of what looked like about 200,000 entranced.

You see they came from a generation that actually learned how to master an instrument and play live. They understood originality and creativity in a way that we are forgetting.
I also read something today that appeared to be the authors own work but I knew I had rad it somewhere else before. Someone else also noticed as well and stated the actual author of the information. You see most of us are simply too lazy to come up with an original thought or idea. Lazy may be harsh, maybe we are afraid, or think we’re too thick.

I get comments on my blogs from all round the world now from people thanking me for encouraging them etc. I think that comes because I write to you from my heart and my experience. Occasionally I share something written by someone else but it never has the authenticity of something you’ve been through yourself.

I share this with you because it is true for us in life and investing as well. You are one original thought away from greatness every day of your life.

Think of the person who THOUGHT UP lease options.
Think of the person who THOUGHT UP low doc loans.
Think of the person who THOUGHT UP post it notes, hamburgers, skiing, bubble wrap.

What could you THINK UP that could transform your life and finances, you are only 1 thought away from it right now!!

The fat lady sings

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Or more correctly, the fat bloke finishes talking.
Last night we finished off the Good News Roadshow. Great to meet so many people and hove so much positive feedback.

It has been a real privilege to talk to so many of my clients and supporters and see so many people encouraged to keep investing utilising relevant strategies for this market.

Only time will tell how quickly things will recover. The evidence is already there that things are turning a positive corner in spite of it being winter. So hang on to your hats and get out there and buy your ten properties. The biggest boom in NZ’s history is coming to a city near you.

Back to normal blogs tomorrow. Thanks to the many hundreds of you who took the time to come and share some good news with me over the last 3 weeks.

More Good News already!!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Interesting news today that some lenders are already starting to look at non conforming business on a “deal by deal” basis. In other words, as I have been saying all round the country, things will get better sooner rather than later.

The economic data out of the USA just keeps getting better. Looking at the latest economic news and indicators this morning good news now outweighs bad news about ten to one.

So as the world starts to make “subprime” a memory things will recover. Yesterdays banking news is a strong indicator of that. Australia continues to be largely unaffected at all by the whole situation. Those of you who have attended the roadshow know why :-) .

So be encouraged today, life is good, property and finance will recover. And once we get Helen out of her seat and get some decent immigration policies in place you wait, this country is going to go off big time.

You’ll have to join me in Whangarei tonight at 7PM at:
Northern Cricket Pavillion
Spire Pavillion
79 Okara Drive
to get more details, hope to see you there!!

Party time in Waikato!!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

It’s interesting how different crowds have different dynamics. Last night in Hamilton we ran out of chairs and had people sitting on sofa’s etc. and the room was “alive”. And in the break it sounded like a party going on.

Thanks to so many of you who got on the Good News train and left inspired and encouraged. Had my youngest attendee I think ever, 7 weeks old!!

The last night of the Roadshow is Thursday in Whangarei!!

See y’all there!!

More young people!!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Another great night in Rotorua. It was fabulous to see some more under 25′s actually taking an interest in their future. As Generation Y is primarily consumed with consumption :-) , it is almost a surprise to meet 18 and 20 year olds wanting to plan their wealth creation now.

Hope to see more of you in Hamilton tonight at 7!!

We can all have a 5 year plan to retirement in this market by knowing what is coming and how to act now. Hope you’ll come and enjoy some more Good News tonight, ( or Thursday in Whangarei).

I’ve got a brand new wife!!!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

If references to God offend you please don’t read tonight’s blog.

Raewyn would never comment herself but I have to tell you about my new wife.

For the last 13 years Raewyn has struggled with depression. Unless you have suffered from it you can’t imagine what it’s like to live with it or be married to it.

So a week ago today a preacher at our church talked about God’s ability to heal people from it and he said that he felt God was saying “Enough” regarding people being attacked by this type of sickness.

So Raewyn got prayed for. For the first time in 13 years she wakes up happy after sleeping all night. I have heard her laugh more in the last week than in our entire marriage. She is completely healed and set free from depression.

Her whole attitude to life has changed, our marriage has changed, our life has changed.

Yes it’s only a week but she is totally different. People who have known her for less than 13 years are asking me what has gotten into her because she is so happy all of a sudden. I can tell them God has gotten into her in a new and healing way.

The issues she teaches on and has walked through with great discipline in Behind Closed Doors she can now enjoy without effort or worry about slipping back.

As I have said countless times it is hard to teach you why Raewyn and I succeed because the real reason is our relationship with God. This week is again proof of that. God has done in a moment what years of counselling and drugs could not.

Go God, You rock!!

See you all in Rotorua tomorrow, (Monday night), for the last week of the Good News Road show.

My views on Labour’s policies are well known, so my comment today may surprise you.
But I think it has to be acknowledged that Michael Cullen has at least shown himself to be a man of principle in his recent budget announcement and other media reporting.

After Keys totally stole Labour’s thunder regarding tax cuts, many politicians would have attempted to better the opposition in a vote winning attempt, however Cullen didn’t.

He simply said this is what I believe we can afford and I’m sticking to it. He even went so far as to say that he was so confident of his position that no responsible person would act differently.

And he has made it clear to all and sundry that he is concerned with the lower socio-economic people in this country, not the so called “rich pricks”.

So this I can handle. When someone makes their position clear and sticks to it I can admire that. I don’t have to agree with it, but you can respect a man of principle.

It has been interesting to see John Key start to squirm in comparison now that he finally has an opportunity to show how he would produce bigger tax cuts, it is becoming apparent that he can’t, so now he is minimising his primary platform.

I hope this is not an indicator of things to come. Whilst I want National’s immigration and business policies, NZ desperately needs fixing, I don’t want that if it is at the hands of people we can’t trust.
