Fly like an Eagle
Posted by: | CommentsAs I rush to the airport to get ready for tomorrow in Christchurch I am very excited because being with people really fills my tank. And being with 300 people all positive about property really spins my wheels!!
Thought for the day:
Are you going to spend this weekend doing things that make you feel good, that inspire you, that make you more in love with life?
Many of us never find out what fills us up and therefore we are permanently running on empty. I am so thankful that I no longer have to stand in a factory running machinery for 14 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week. I discovered what I love by trying things and never giving up on my goal of being able to have more time to serve God.
It’s been quite a ride so far but I wouldn’t go back to being empty emotionally for anything.
So as I was saying…..
What are you going to invest your time in this weekend??
And if you don’t like your answer to that question, what are you going to do about it?

Burn the Ships

I guess I’m fortunate that I am naturally wired to be relational. But in addition to that I have deliberately cultivated a “policy” of never burning relationships unless it was unsafe to do otherwise.
This has resulted in many people I could have easily written off becoming good friends and in many cases people who have helped me make money in my business.
And an interesting development with this in recent times is that I find new contacts “warm” to me very quickly because they hear of and observe my long term relationships in business.
So can I encourage you to think long term about your business and relationships. Decide what is really important. I have been let down and ripped off more than once, in fact way more than once, however what I have gained by trying to work through those issues and by developing trust with people has far outweighed the losses.
Something to think about??

PS: One of those strange, unbelievable timing moments!! One of my newer business contacts just sent me a proposal for a non property related venture that just knocks my socks off. And he sent it to me because “I like to work with people I can trust and appreciate the value of friendship in business”
So there you go!!
PPS: The above deal really looks great. There are 5 slots available, (4 now as I have one)
, if you’d like an opportunity to find out about an exciting online business ownership opportunity flick me an EMAIL and I’ll send you the prospectus.

A nice runabout??
Posted by: | CommentsNow this is what I call a boat!!
A famous French shipbuilder ship company and one of Monaco joined hands together to build this yacht with enormous dimensions: the WHY 58×38. (58meter long and 38 meter wide)
The yacht, an area of 3400 m2 with seating for 12 passengers and 20 crew. Can you believe that!! The size of 20 houses seats an entire twelve people
Wally et Hermès use green energy to 20 to 30% fuel savings and 40 to 50% electricity consumption on board. Therefore there are 900 m2 equipped with solar panels, producing a daily output of 500 kW.
Three decks, a 25 meter pool, a spa, helicopter pad, sauna, gym and massage room, a promenade of 130 meter, a music room, a dining room, a cinema, sun decks, suites, terraces, a lounge, a bibi .
The decks are connected by stairs but there is also an elevator.
Owners bedroom with an area of 200m2 and completely covering the third deck. (This is just one bedroom) The sea view is great and there is a private terrace 25 meters long.
The horseshoe shaped yacht has a retractible roof for convertible mode
.
The lounge, as you can see is pretty small to make room for the piano bar and dining area …..
See what I mean, you can hardly swing a marlin in that tiny area.
There are only 5 guest suites like this with views. But if they are feeling too claustrophobic they can always go to the reading room attached to each suite
Horrible isn’t it? What’s wrong with a 3 metre tinny for goodness sake

Taking Control
Posted by: | CommentsI was talking to a mentoring group for one of my “competitors” today and was again surprised at the response I get to certain things. I don’t mean this to be negative or condescending but I seem to so often have people looking wide eyed or inhaling their breath over things that I now consider “normal”.
I guess I am fully convinced that property investing as a business is not rocket science. it’s not particularly difficult and there is not that much “new” stuff you can learn really.
So what does separate someone who gets a result, (the minority), from those who don’t, (the vast majority)?
I believe it is a number of things but front and centre is that most people either don’t know how to or are unwilling to do what it takes to get control of their lives.
Shifting your internal culture isn’t easy. Everything within you will fight it, but it is the only path to lasting change.
The things you currently dream about must be moved to reality in the following order:
Dreams > Possibilities > Probabilities > Reality
And where do we all mostly get stuck?? Between the first and second progressions.
Taking control of your love life, your financial future, your job or whatever is dependent on believing that it is possible. And that can be huge. In fact whole industries, dreams and vision boards, visualising are ALL built around trying to facilitate getting you from dreams to possibilities. If you think about that and the amount of events and companies who invest in this area you will start to see this is “the biggie”. Once you conquer this the rest is a walk in the park.
So if you want the results eventually you must commit to making it a possibility now!

Have you failed enough yet??
Posted by: | Comments
I was sharing some of my stuff ups last night with my webinar clients which reminded me just how important it is to get out there and fail as much as you can as fast as you can.
Now obviously this is not our ultimate goal, however it is important that we learn to embrace trying and failing as an essential part of our journey. The key thing of course is that we learn and grow so that we end up at the door of success.
So the next time something goes wrong consider the following:
1. What really went wrong? What part of this failure is my personal responsibility?
2. Why didn’t I see it coming? What can I look for next time to not repeat this?
3. What could I do differently if a similar situation arises? How could I have gotten a better outcome?
4. What are the 10 good things I have learned from this that I can use to develop my ability to succeed
5. Most importantly go and celebrate your failure as a major learning experience and look forward to the next curve ball!!

Man Kills Self Before Shooting Wife and Daughter
This one I caught in the SGV Tribune the other day and called the Editorial Room and asked who wrote this. It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! They put in a correction the next day.
I just couldn’t help but sending this along. Too funny.
