4 essentials ~ Part 2

OK so how do you find the answer to a search for security and unconditional love?
Well there is only one source of unconditional love and that is God.
I’m sorry if that disappoints you however it is a fact. Countless athiestic psychiatrists and psychologists have become Christians themselves after searching for clinical answers to this deep need.

You see we were created by God to have an unconditional love relationship, so only the creator can provide the solution.

Now I’m not trying to “convert” you, I’m just loving you enough to tell you the truth. You have to decide what to do with it.

My advice is to test if what I am saying is true, find out for yourself. You can always reject it once you have tried it out.

A man I knew was visiting a very backward culture on a trip. He loved his food and had been so far very fortunate to have tried various exotic dishes without having to eat something too weird.

However that was about to change as he was advised of the delicacy awaiting him that night.
“We take an unformed embryo, keep it in its amniotic fluid and sac and prepare it for you. It is our greatest honour.
We prepare it by partially cooking it only so it is warmed through but still liquid when eaten.

Feeling sick yet?? He was. He couldn’t avoid dinner so he tried to keep his lunch down in anticipation and then eventually diner arrived. Much to his amazement he actually enjoyed his dinner of SOFT BOILED EGGS.

You see his issue was one of perception. And for many of us our perception of God is an issue.
So if the thought of approaching God is enough to make you sick then understand it is not God but your perception of Him that is the problem.

So try it out. Test Him. You can say ‘God, apparently you love me unconditionally and created me. Right now I think that is a load of nonsense but I am willing to be proven wrong. If you are real and you love me so much then God please show me that. I want to feel special and safe and if you’re the answer then I want the answer, but help me get past my prejudices and past hurts to the truth. So if you’re real God then prove it in a way I can understand”.

What’s the worst thing that can happen?? Well nothing, you conclude that I am a lunatic along with all the other religious fanatics and you go back to trying to get your unmet needs met.

But the best thing that could happen is that for teh first time in your life you could start to feel really loved, unconditionally loved, feel like your heart has a safe home.

And that is something all the money in the world can’t buy.
