Private Sale
ByThe sale of property by the owner without the services of a real estate agent. The homeowner takes on all the responsibility for selling their property. This includes marketing and advertising the property, dealing with viewings and prospective buyers, all purchase negotiations, arranging the contract of sale and organising all the legal and financial arrangements for the transfer.
The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand advises against this method of sale as it deprives them of enormous income from fees and enables purchasers to actually buy properties at reasonable prices without an agent telling the vendor their property is worth more than it really is.
