I am in Rotovegas today and that always reminds me of my “Rotorua” deal.

The most important lesson from this deal for me was the power and importance of education. I purchased the property after another investor had spent over 100K renovating it prior to settlement and then he failed to settle.

I purchased the property and it is now worth 700K more than I paid for it.
This was a fairly early deal for us and I think it is one of the reasons I put so much emphasis on education. The more you know how to do things right the less likely you are to stuff up great deals like my failed purchaser did.

Imagine how you’d feel if you’d spent 100K on a do up and then lost the property??
And all because he didn’t have his finance sorted properly. The deal was so good I managed to 100% finance it because I had better experts around me and a better education than the first purchaser.

So remember that as you proceed with your investing. Keep investing in yourself and keep learning. Don’t do this and you could be the next person to lose 800K!! (700K equity and 100K cash spent).
